Can God use me?

Can God use you? Can anyone use you? Many people struggle with the thought that they are not important and that God and others can’t use them. Some even think: “ I should not believe that I am something, because then I would be proud and God resists the proud.”
When I see how much these thoughts influence people I get really angry, because they are lies! So many people with lots of resources are kept in captivity with the thoughts that God can’t use them for something important and that they have are of no value to God (they can say it, but they really don’t believe it). One of my biggest goals is to tear down these lies, so that everyone can experience the resources within them that come from God.

In the next chapter you will read my story and how I was set free from these lies. I know that the truth of God can set you free too! When I say set free, I don’t mean that I never struggle with these thoughts, but that they don’t have a hold on me anymore. It is a battle, but God has given us the key to defeat these thoughts.

Some of what I want to accomplish with this teaching is to show you that no one has any acceptable excuse to not be used by God. God won’t take no for an answer and he won’t listen to your excuses, He wants to use you anyway. Some years ago, God revealed to me how He looked at me and it changed my whole life. I had looked upon myself as dull and boring, a person that God could not use for much. But when God met me in 1989, I started to experience the exciting life that God had for me and I have lived more and more of that excitement while facing the challenges God has given me and continues to give me.
I hope when you have read this teaching that you will take up the battle and go against the enemies’ lies that say: “Don’t believe that God can use you.”

Note: Maybe you are thinking that this teaching is not for you, because you don’t recognize the things I have experienced. I believe that everyone can have trouble with these thoughts on occasion, so I challenge you to read through this teaching. At least you will develop knowledge on how to help others realize a good self-image and a true picture of God. More people than you think have trouble with these kinds of thoughts.
