Question: My church doesn’t teach about Spiritual gifts. Sometimes I think they quench the Spirit of God. I heard that in Luke 3.16 the Greek Original text says not being baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire but something like being baptized with \"Holy Ghost fire\".
I read a book about the baptism in the spirit, and they wrote that Fire in the bible is always a symbol for Judgment, and so it is not for believers. They say that they are 2 different Baptism. One with the Holy Ghost (for believers) One with Fire (for unbelievers).
I know that about the fact that our God is a consuming fire but, what other arguments do you have?

Answer: It is true that fire is about judgment, but it's not only that. The fire also talks about Gods holiness, purity and conviction (God is a consuming fire Det 4:2, Heb 12:29), and it's also a symbol of the present of the THS.
If the fire was only for the un-believers and for judgment, why did tongues of fire appear on the apostles on the day of Pentecost (this is what Jesus prophesied too, that they, the disciples, would be baptized in fire). They were saved and were not judged, so I think the fire has to do with Gods presents and power too.
I can't find any support in the Bible that it should be two baptisms in The Holy Spirit. As far as I can see it's only talking about one. Se acts 10:44 and 11:15. These scriptures are about some people that were not saved yet and then received The Holy Spirit, (though it probably happened on the same time). Here you can see that it is talking about the same baptism as on the day of Pentecost.
Acts 11:15
15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

I strongly believe that the gift of the Sprit, like we find it in 1 Cor 12, is in function today. I am operating in them, and I have seen and experienced others that have operated strongly in them. The power of The Holy Spirit did not disappeared with the first Christians. I can’t fine anything in the Bible that supports this view.
If we will finish the Grate Commission (Matt 28.18-20, Mark 16:15-19) we need The Holy Spirit and His power and gifts.

Question: How do I get and obtain my spiritual gifts from God?

Answer:The first step is to have a willingness to be used by THS.
The second thing, as I think is the most important: To put your self in situation were you allow THS to use you. It means to pray for people that are sick, and also when you pray for people, be open to get words from God. And don't give up if you don't feel anything is happening the first times you are doing it. Often when you are not used to be used in these gifts, you are not sure if it’s you, your own thoughts or words from THS. But as you use the gifts you will get to know this more and more.
Don't aim for the big thing right away, you can do some big mistake then, but be patient and you will grow into it. You will probably do some mistake sometimes too, and then it is important to admit it. But don’t be afraid of doing mistake. We are vessels used by God and sometime the vessel is weak, but God is grate, patient and merciful.

Question: What is Pentecost?

Answer: Pentecost was the day when the Holy Spirit was given to all people. This is actually one of the biggest happening in the history of the church. Because it was on the day of Pentecost the first Christian church was established and the spreading of the Gospel started.

Question: What does it mean to receive the Holy Spirit?

Answer: To receive The Holy Spirit is to receive a power equipment that makes do things you did not dare to before. And you start to work in the supernatural power of God.
At the first Christian the Holy Spirit appeared to them as cloven tongues like as of fire. And they all started to speak in other tongues.

Question: Is speaking in tongues the same as the baptism in The Holy Spirit.

Answer: No, I don’t think so. The baptism in the Holy Spirit is all about power (Acts 1:8). But I think one of the signs that you have been baptized in the Spirit is the tongues.

Question: How do I get baptized in the Holy Spirit

Answer: Fist of all you need to have a desire to be filed with His power. Personally I don’t think it is very difficult to be filed with the Holy Spirit, but I believe God will give it to us when we need it and desire it. Often we makes things with God very complicated, more then we need to. God is longing to pour his Spirit upon us and to put you in situation where you need his power, and when you ask for His power you will get it!

Question: When do I get the gifts?

Answer: You can function in the gifts when you need to use them. In the moment you ask the Holy Spirit for power. You can actually be baptized in THS at the moment you need his power, when you see that you cannot do things in your own strength.

Question: How do you know when the Holy Spirit is speaking to yo?. I sometimes get a voice in my head, how do I know if this is God or not?

Answer: There can be different voices coming to our minds sometimes, but it is possible to find out if it is from God or not. To recognize the voice of God can be like learning a new language. You are not sure in the beginning but after practice it for a while you get fluent.
The way I often can here God speak is when I pray for people. I get often a word in the begging and when I pray it or say it out more words come. When I have checked it out after I have found out that I said something that went right into the persons situation.
I can experience the a peace for a thing too, I think this is a way that God uses to speak to us too.
When you train yourself to here the voice of God it is important to check if the voice really is from God. One big rule is that God does not speak against his own word. You need to check it with the Bible. Also if the voice bringing condemnation or bringing you down in any way it's, not from God. (even though you have gone to God with your sin, because the Holy Sprit can bring conviction about sin) The words you get should be for your edification, exhortation or comfort.

Question: In Matthew 28:19 Jesus commanded the disciples to baptize the people in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Ghost.
Then again in acts 2:38 I find that peter is saying to the people to be baptized
in the name of Jesus Christ. Why is this so? What is the correct way of being baptized?

Answer: I believe it doesn't matter if you are baptized in the name of the father, son and THS or only Jesus. They are all one, so if you use only Gods name, or Jesus name, or THS name it is the same. As long as you are not baptizing anyone by using other names then this three, you are doing it correctly.
Batizem is also a picture of the death that Jesus died, we are saying in the baptism that we die with him and are resurrected with him.

Question: We believe in the trinity of the father, son and the Holy Ghost. But this fact is mentioned nowhere in the scripture?

Answer: You don't find the word trinity in the Bible, but you find strong indication about this in John cap. 14 and 16.

Question: In john 14:15-16 it is mentioned that god will give us the Holy Spirit when love and keep his commandments. But you have said that we don’t need not to be completely perfect to receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit?

Answer: In one way it doesn’t say that we need to keep all his commandments, but when we love God we want to keep it. To love God is to wanting to do his will, even if we fail sometimes. It is our hear attitude that counts for God, not how good we are in doing good works. I don't mean that you can continuously living in sin, and doing sin consciously and then still have the power (at least it will come a judgment, because there have been persons that have function in THS and had a lot of bad sins in their life, one Biblical example is Saul in The Old Testament, 1 Samule).

Question:What is the difference between the anointing and the baptism in the Holy Ghost?

Answer: I think it is part of the same ting, but baptism is more that you can be filled yourself. The anointing is more having the power to give out to others, minister.

Question: If we receive power after being baptized in the Holy Ghost then why is it mentioned so many times in the Bible that flee from the evil desires of the flesh and live by the sprit and so on?

Answer: When we receive THS we receive the power, but we still have a fight against the flesh, our evil desire. As long as we live down here on earth we need to fight against our flesh and the evil desire. And that is what we need THS for. If we live a life by the spirit we will concur or evil desire, it is here the battle is and always will be.

Question:I have been hearing from many people saying that tongues ceased in the early days itself & trying to speak in tongues opens the door for demonic influences?
How can we be shure that we are filled by the spirit?

Answer:There is a demonic world, but we have noting to afraid of, as long as we confess the name of Jesus in our lives and want to live according to the will of God.
If you honestly want to speak in tongues, I believe that God will give it to you and not the demonic forces. If you have everything in the light in front of God, the evil one can't touch us (Read 1 John). Remember too that God is much stronger than the demonic power.
