Take every thought into captivity

Don't give the devil access to your thoughts so that he can create bad thought patterns in your mind. But, take all thoughts that are not according to the character of God, into captivity.
2Cor 10:4-5.
For the weapon of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds
Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

If you often think negative thoughts you will soon begin to speak it out, and then it's easy to utter curses.
The devil brings negative thoughts to you, either by your own thoughts or by what others say: You can't do this, you are never going to make it. You can’t win over this sin or that situation.
After hearing these lies over and over, it is very easy to start confessing it, with the end result being that you believe it.

  • Pay attention to what you are saying, because you could say curses!
  • Listen to your own words, because it is the power of what you believe.

What does it mean to speak a curse? To say a curse is not only saying I curse you.
One time, Jesus and his disciples were on their way to a city called Bethany, and Jesus was hungry. He walked to a fig tree, and it was fruitless. Then Jesus said:
Let no one ever eat fruit from you ever again. The next day while passing the same tree, Peter saw it and said to Jesus: Look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered away
(Mark 11:12-13 and 20-21)

To say a curse is to say things like: I’m never going to make it, that church is never going to grow, you are stupid, you can't do anything right, or you are a loser.
If you start to say and believe in lies about yourself; you become what the lies tell you.
Prov 23:7:
For as he thinks in his heart so is he.

  • Negative speaking, or negative thoughts about yourself or others is the way the world thinks. Repent from your negative way of thinking, speaking and bad thought patterns. Let them not guide your words and behavior.
  • What are God’s thoughts for you? Does he want you to fail? Does he want you to suffer? Does he want you to look upon yourself as a loser? NO!!! He wants the best for you!

Jer 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

God has made it possible to overcome the negative thought patterns the devil has imparted in your mind.
Rom: 10:9.
That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that Jesus has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

This scripture is not just for non-believers. The word saved has a much wider meaning than to be saved out from something. In Greek the word saved is: sozo; it means to be whole, well, completed, saved from danger, destruction, sickness and death, and out of bondage.
If you feel depressed you can say the verse this way: When I confess you as Lord over my depression I will be delivered from it, because you are the Lord of my depression.
The truth is, He is the Lord over all your problems!
