Psychological warfare is a tactic the enemy has used against people throughout all time. If the one who is in a war believes he cannot win the battle, he has already lost. The enemy fashions a more frightening picture of himself than what he really is.
The people of Israel fell into this trap. When the people of Israel tried to capture the land of Canaan, they sent twelve spies into this land. Ten of the spies were fooled by the enemies’ psychological warfare.
Num 13:33.
There we saw the giants; and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and we so we were in their sight.
Many of the Israelites did not enter the Promised Land because of their unbelief. There were only two spies who didn't loose faith and become frightened by the enemy: Joshua and Caleb.
Num. 14:9.
Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the lord is with us. Do not fear them.
Joshua and Caleb knew a God who was bigger than the enemy, and they had their eyes fixed on Him instead of the problem. They knew that the power that was with them was greater than any other forces or giants. Because of their faith, they were allowed to enter the Promised Land 40 years later.
Don't let the enemy overcome you, don't let him attack you with his lies! Lies that say: “It is not possible; you will never overcome this problem.” Remember: You are not on the losing side!
Let the word of God penetrate your thoughts so you can strike back when the enemy attacks you. A part of the armor of God is the sword, which is the word of God. When Jesus was tempted in the desert, he used the word. When Joshua and Caleb met problems, they confessed God’s greatness. This is what happens when you speak the word of God.
- The word of God covers all darkness.
Come up against the enemies’ attack so you can be part of the victorious and offensive army in the last days; learn to fight! Reclaim the things the devil has stolen from you and recover the territory the enemy reigns in today, such as in your life, in others’ lives, in your church and in your land.
There is one thing the enemy is afraid of: That you should discover how much God really loves you.
The more you see this, the more dangerous you are to the enemy, because your knowledge of God will create a bigger and stronger joy in you.
The devil wishes to steal your joy, but the joy of the Lord is your strength.
If you have your eyes fixed on your problem and all the weakness you have, there will there be no joy left. If you have your eyes fixed on all the things Jesus has done for you, you will have the strength to overcome everything.
In Nehemiah, we read about the Israelites. They had been in exile in Babylon, and then were allowed to go back to their country to rebuild Jerusalem and the temple. When the day came that the city and the walls were finished, they read the Law of Moses and then started to cry. Maybe the reason for their tears was that they saw their forefathers’ mistakes and sins, along with their own. But, God was merciful and gave back their land. That’s why Ezra said:
Neh 8:9-10
9Then Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who were instructing the people said to them all, "This day is sacred to the LORD your God. Do not mourn or weep." For all the people had been weeping as they listened to the words of the Law.
10Nehemiah said, "Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."
Nobody is perfect, but if you continue to focus on your weaknesses you won’t have the strength to overcome. So, you need to stay focused on the One that gives you strength and shows you compassion in your weakness. Then, you can rejoice for what the Lord has done for you. The reason the Israelites should be glad was because of the grace God had shown them.
Neh 8:12
Then all the people went away to eat and drink, to send portions of food and to celebrate with great joy, because they now understood the words that had been made known to them.
You should really understand what Jesus has done for you, so that joy can be a part of your life. You have to tear down every stronghold the devil has put into your mind, telling you how weak, poor and worthless you are. The more God tears down these strongholds in your life, the more you will see his great love towards you.
I know too that God will come and pour out His spirit more magnificently than ever before. He is equipping His bride, the church, right now for the last harvest. You will see churches where the joy and power is very visible and His power is being manifested in a whole new way, even seeing the dead arise.
Resist the devil, don't let him overcome you, be mindful so you can determine the strategy of your enemy.
1Pet 5:8-9.
Be sober; be vigilant because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith.
