I am now surrounded by beautiful nature in a Guesthouse not so far from a city call Fang in Thailand, and here I will be to the 4th of Mai.I am really satisfied to finally be here again, amongst an un-reached people group. While I’m writing this I hearing a lot of exotic sounds, the mosquito bites and the temperature is like a Norwegian summer about 25ºC (74ºF). It’s not so much that reminds me about Christmas like it is in Norway.

I’m almost the only foreigner at this place, except for the man that is live together with the Thai lady that runs this Guesthouse. I’m also without a translator and that can be interesting some times. On day I had no clue were one of the locals Shan Christian were driving me, because I was not able to communicate with him.

My schedule out here has been: Get up 8 o’clock, have some time with God and read and study the Bible to 11-12 and then try to teach my self some Shan words. After lunch I have been driving my moped around to different places in the aria were Shan people work and prayed for them. In the nighttime I have tried to visit some of my Shan friends, but it hasn’t always been easy because they work a lot. But some days have been with on of the Shan locals, called Ching, which run some of the work while Alo is taken a DTS in Burma. We have been going out to the rice fields and preached the gospel and encouraged the Christians. Even tough I can’t speak much Shan I have the “Word”. So I use a lot of scripture from the Bible to encourage and preach the gospel. Sometimes I find the scriptures and Ching is preaching out from it. Ching is a very good evangelist; he is rally bold and has grate heart and eagerness for God.

My sickness got really bad the fist days here, but it became better after a week. But now again I have caught a flue and I have been laying in bed for two days now. Today I am a bit better, but have a coughing that is rally badly. I’m kind of fed up with sickness right now!! But I know that God is grater than any circumstances and sickness!!

If you remember pleas pray for the Shans and for a good health for me!

Prayer points

  • Pray for a village that has only one Christian blind lady. Pray for a revival in that village and for strength and healing for this blind lady!
  • Pray for a Shan friend that have been a Christian before, but I’m not sure were he stands now. Pray that he will have a new revelation about Jesus.
  • Pray for the cell groups that are gathered every week, pray for new revelation about Jesus.
  • Pray that Gods kingdom and His will be done on this place.
  • Pray that the coughing will go away now, and that I also will get fully the health back that enemy has stolen from me.
