This is just a short update on what has happened this summer.
I’m at the present in Norway on vacation, and it has been relaxing and inspiring, but I really start to get ready to go to Thailand again.
In England
In August I was at a retreat centre in England. The ministry is called Ellel Ministry. It was a very good time, I was refreshed and God spoke to me about some new things in my life. On thing he really spoke to me about was to rest in God. I have heard this many times before and I know it very well, but this time God really reviled it to me in a new way. To rest and trust in God is the most essential key in every way in our daily walk with God, maybe even more then we are aware of.
God especially reminded me to use the scripture in Phil. 4:6-7 in my daily prayer time and devotion.
Phil.4:6-7
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
In some translation it also says: And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall guide your hearts and minds.
This is really a powerful scripture, if we just can get it down to our hearts.
Speak about the Shan People
This coming Sunday I will speak and show a video about the Shan ministry (You can also watch this video on my web site). I also hope to be able to show this film more before I go back to Thailand.
News from Thailand
Latest news from the ministry in Thailand: The school we started in August is going well, but sad news is that we have a struggle to gather the new Christians in a house church. Reason fro this is that they have moved, and the owner of the place they live and work now does not allow us to go in to their place, or pick them up for the meetings.
This is not an unusual problem. Many owners of orange farms etc. dose not allow their Shan workers much freedom, and in many cases they are treated as slaves or prisoner.
Please remember to pray for these new Christians.
Challenges
Some of my biggest challenges now are my economical situation. At the moment I lack about 1000$ on my plane ticket to Thailand. I have scheduled my flight to the beginning of October, and I actually need this money within the next week. I know God is faith full, but if you wish please stay with me in prayer for this.
From this fall I also will be a fulltime missionary and need some more regular income. What would help me much is to get 300$ more regularly every month. This is my goal and prayer point at the moment.

- Pray for a Shan girl that experiences persecution.
- Pray for protection over the new Shan believers.
